Retro 50's Look

Here is your classic 50's rollerset which works well for costumes, retro events and is the style most commonly found with short wig styles. A light holding solution is used which required the wearer to get this look re-created on at most a weekly basis.

This is the same style of fingerwave with additional height added to show more of the classic S pattern created by the fingerwave.

Fingerwaves

I used fingerwaves to incorporate into this updo. This long haired Mannikin was backcombed for additional height while maintaining the fingerwave appearance.

Model A1

This model has medium length hair colored with Redken's Fusion and Shaeds EQ lines. For this 1/2 up style a round brush was used to smooth and flip up the ends. A bouffant adds classic retro style and a floral headband accessory is added for affect.

Here's an updo on a Mannikin with long hair that I have an elegant take on a french twist/wrapped look for an all up style. Pin curls around the twist make this look more formal and decorative.

Pearl

This is a french twist with a high bouffant all up updo. With this updo, I wanted to work in a string of baby pearls. There are many ways this look can be achieved. Locking in the wrap with a bobby pin will secure a tightly encircled look; however, pinning in a loose knot in the rear or side can change look overall.

Miss Kim

Here's a bunch of Miss Kim ones I have done recently-as I get more models in, I will transition out the Mannikin images and show the same styles on live models. Miss Kim has long hair and styles shown include:
1/2 up Mohawk modern trend that is very now in styling trends
All up pyramid style with barrel curls
Av ant Gard side style-this is a great look for a runway or photo shoot look
All up highly teased updo looks more of a casual style with the addition of a small ponytail below.

Model C3 3rd Photoshoot tonight

Model C3 again has long hair. For this updo, I went with a criss-crossed woven design in the fringe area with large round open circles at the crown in an all up design. Featured in this updo are Artistic Editions Emerald Hair Snaps that can be found online on either Artistic Edition's website or Etsy.com/Artistic Edition.

Photoshoot 2 tonight Model C2

I wanted to play off model C2's spiral curls so, I added the use of a fine hairnet to give this style a firmly held look. Side floral accessories were added for additional height and design.

TIP-This would be useful for adverse weather or for holding the curl for longer periods of time (ie photoshoots or weddings") in place of a veil or until the reception when the veil is removed for clean fresh curls.

My Photoshoot 3 Model C1

Model C1's hair has been hilighted with Redken's double blondes and fusion lines. Her hair is long. For this style, her hair was spiral curled and left long. Hair accessory features a 1930's black 1/2 netted headband attachment.
